Fast Track Special Courts Scheme

The Criminal Law Amendment Act, 2018 provided for the Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs). Based on the pendency of cases in March 2018, a total of 1023 FTSCs including 389 exclusive POCSO (ePOCSO) Courts were earmarked by the Department of Justice to be implemented in 31 States/UTs for early disposal of cases related to rape and POCSO Act. This Centrally Sponsored Scheme started initially for one year in October 2019 which now has been continued for two more FY, i.e., till March, 2023.

This data set contains data of 28 States/UT regarding the Number of Functional Fast Track Special Courts (FTSCs) from 2020 to 2022
